This vase or pen holder was altered while soft and flexible on the wheel. It was then glazed with dramatic dark grey glazes that break to brown around the lip, with bold Dijon colored streaks flowing in rivulets around the vase's curved walls. The bottom of the interior also has a surprising pop of red. The shape reminds me a bit of a poppy seed pod.
