I was thinking abstractly about biology and life while I designed this vertical spoon rest (probably the first time that sentence has ever been written). I carved leaves, club moss, DNA and the gills of a mushroom in different sections across the back and framed it in a band of hammered copper-looking clay. I hope it can bring some life to your countertop too!
